ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m born and raised in South Korea. I had a priviledge to learn programming, server administration, and networking in the first IT specialized high school in Seoul. I continued my education in University of Minnesota with Computer Engineering bachelor degree. I've worked as a DevOps engineer in various size of companies. My specialization has been in infrastructure automation and container orchestration. You can find more about them in my tech resume.

Few years ago, I realized the combination of the IT profession and computer gaming hobby was not the healthiest lifestyle I could live. I slowly integrated more active and health conscious hobbies, such as yoga, Jiu Jitsu, and surfing into my lifestyle. Then in the winter of 2016, I got to spend a week in Poland with the Wim Hof tribe, and that really clicked within me. The vibrant life force I experienced through the breathing and cold exposure really helped me to improve so many aspects of my life. I became a certified Wim Hof Method instructor in 2018, and has been teaching the method ever since then. If you are interested, you can learn more about it at my instructor profile and my business website.

Skills and Hobbies

DevOps

This is where money is for me. Infrastructure as Code, Deployment Automation, and Container Orchestration. If you can articulate it, I can automate it.

Wim Hof Method

WHM is the simpliest and the most powerful life hack I found. With power of breathing and cold exposure, I started to reach for the highest potential of my life.

Yoga

Yoga became the foundation for all of my hobbies. WHM, Surfing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I think they are all just extension of yoga.

Surfing

Surfing is the most unexpected life change I got to experience. Open ocean, a surfboard, and endless fun. I call it the heathiest addiction.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Nothing destroys my ego more effectively than BJJ. I absolutely love getting my ass handed over to me over and over. Best way to practice "No ego, We go"

And More

Photography, fire dancing, I'm always trying to pick up something new. Learning should never stop. As long as you are having fun, you are doing it right.
